We`ve been hunting spellbooks for.. oh say about the past 5 hours. We`ve gotten two of the five spellbooks I need, ORZ! I still need Magical backfire, Major Heal, and Mana Burn. /wrist

We realized a curious thing today about Butterscotch. In the morning she used to bite on her cage and make a really loud fuss about the whole deal, so we figured maybe she`s bored. We started letting her have free run of her little area all night, which solved it for the most part. Now, however, she`s starting to do it a little more, but only at certain times.

Justin and I didn`t go to sleep until 2am last night (well he did at 3am) so we slept in pretty late this morning. Usually Butterscotch wakes up around 6-7am and plays until 11am-12pm. She did the same today, until finally around 10am she started biting her cage and ultimately making Justin wake up and stay up. She stopped. Then he went downstairs to talk to his brother, leaving me asleep until Butterscotch started chewing her cage again! It finally woke me up (around 11am) and I realized Justin wasn`t around and once again, she stopped chewing her cage and came out and ran around alil bit.

So we came to the conclusion she must get lonely. Usually I wake up around 9 and she doesn`t do anything of the sort. She must have decided we slept too long and it was time to wake up. Such a rascally rabbit!

Iraq

Man, I feel really bad for my childhood best friend. She just had her baby (baby boy) a week ago on April 5th. Her husband who is in the military had to leave the 11th for Iraq, which is tearing her apart. As soon as she got in her car after seeing him off she heard on the radio that Bush extended tours from 12 months to 15 months, and the thought her husband is going to miss their son`s first steps, first crawl, first words, is just really hitting her hard. I really wish I could do more for her than talk to her, but what can I do? Maybe I can visit with her some time in the future and hang out with her, I haven`t seen her in years.

Siege!!

Got my first taste of a siege today, and it was really fun. The first push was especially fun, running with a group of 87 people Shuttgart castle. We even broke the gate down on the first push! Too bad Revalations (Defending) snuck around behind us and popped us, sending us back to Shuttgart town. Focus was shifted to Rune castle for awhile, so we sat around Shuttgart town waiting for Divine (Attacking, on our side) to come back from Rune and made one last push to Shuttgart. By the time that one happened Redemption (RD, allies of the defending) was there helping Revelations, and FS (Russian ally, anti-RD, attacking) was there helping us who were attacking. I really wish we were higher level, `cause Ral and I died fast when people finally targetted us, but I did actually get to do my job on the last push. (My job as a Bishop, the WHM of L2, is to extend the lives of others until someone notices and ends mine XD) I can`t wait to level up and participate in more sieges!

Oh and about the crappy quality of the pic, had to turn all my graphics down to handle the lagfest of Siege lol.

Reading this thread (Camps) on BG makes me very happy to be out of FFXI. In L2, atleast almost all of teh raid bosses have a 1-2 hr respawn. :D

Now... Hopdevil`s already in, Sandkat and Bamma left to convert.

I just heard that during Siege week, in the castle of Rune, a Raid Boss spawns in the basement. If the clan/alliance owning Rune doesn`t kill it by the time sieges roll around, then if the castle`s life crystals get knocked out the raid boss spawns in the throne room and aggros anyone in there. It`s also not effected by hate. Fun!!

(The throne room is the room you have to get to to take over a castle. You have to cast on a target in the room for 5 minutes without getting interrupted to take the castle.)

We decided to take Butterscotch to the park today and stop by subway for some lunch. She was a bit too rambunctious for us to watch and eat at the same time, so she had to go back into her carrier bag while we ate. Afterwards however, she ran around and really enjoyed the running space. On the other hand, she really hates her harness and made several attempts to escape, leading us to come to the conclusion her harness is way too big. So we`re going to get her a smaller harness before we take her out again.

Good thing is, the escapade totally pooped her out, she`s practically been sleeping all day since she got back. Yay!

Lineage II
In L2 news, Ral and I got to go on another Rift party, this time with more people. We had Gerf on his alt NotGerf, Flii on her alt Buddaflii, Krim on her alt AcuraRose, Haru on his alt DG0, QuakerPants, Ral, and myself. It went a LOT better. By the time we got to the second rift (max amount of time: 40mins), flii was heading to bed, so we went on without her and actually got to a Raid Boss! It was a little rough at start when he AoE stunned everyone but myself and Ral, but everything went great afterward. We killed him and got..

We coulda probably gotten more lewts, but it was a lv.38 Raid Boss and Gerf ding`d lvl.46 during the rift, so we were 8 levels over him. Ral got DG0 to crush the boots into crystals for CSS (C grade Spirit Shots).

Earlier today I realized I still need my Purify spellbook, which drops from mobs in Enchanted Valley. Gerf offered to help on NotGerf so we ran out and killed stuff for a few buff rounds before I got hungry and we went off on our lunch escapade. Came back and Haru had it for me so we were able to go back to grinding. This is a shot of the beautiful Enchanted Valley from the bridge near where we were camping.

Since I hit 45 (47 now) I`ve been trying to scrap together the materials for the quest I need to do for my long-awaited cat ears. I had enough thread and half as much suede I needed, when MonicaMM (clannie) and Haru offered to help me out on the suede. I went to the race track to meet Haru and after he traded me the suede, we found someone selling cat ears for the going price and I just said "to heck with it" and bought them. Now I can save the mats I had saved up for my formal gear, which is 6mil to make via quest or 15mil to buy.. definately gonna go with the quest on this one! So far left of the mats for formal gear I need..

Demonic Sword Zariche

So today I figured I`d go over the Demonic Sword of Zariche, since it dropped while I was levelling my wolf pet and I got a nice screenshot of what happens when it drops.

Anyway, the Demonic Sword of Zariche (Zariche now) is a sword that has a chance to drop off of any mob in the game, and when it does drop the world turns red and the ground shakes. The person who gets it is automatically kicked from any party that he or she may be in and their name goes red*, so it pretty much becomes a free for all for anyone to take the sword. Some heroes will even pay big bucks for it (50mil+). With every person and every mob you kill with it, it grows stronger, as if being able to solo Raid Bosses with it isn`t strong enough! However every kill also shortens the time it will stay. When teh sword drops people immediately go out to find who got it and to kill them and get it for themselves, but it can be a bit hard since the sword fully restores your HP, MP, and dramatically boosts you CP**. Also if you get killed by the person weilding the sword, you don`t lose any exp.

The world turns read when the sword drops O.O

What makes the sword truely unique is that there`s only one on the entire server at any given time. I hear in Interlude (the patching coming out April 11) they`re adding another one, so that there may be two at any given time. Fun!

(*In L2, if your name goes red it means anyone can kill you without getting any penalties or flagging.)
(**CP is like phalanx/stoneskin in FFXI but only works for PvP. When a player hits you for 80 dmg, instead of taking 80 HP dmg, you take 80 CP dmg.)

Get a Pet and Little Wing

Yesterday while Ralith was at work I finally decided I would do the quests for the three different pets I want. The first on the list was Get a Pet, the quest for a pet Wolf. The quest was prety annoying, because it mixes real and L2 information.. (e.x. wolves aren`t omnivores like bears..) but finally I finished the quest and got my Wolf Collar. I named my wolf Skoll, not after the chewing tobacco -.- but after Norse Mythology. (Skoll is the wolf who chases Sol through the sky during the day.) The wolf starts out at level 15 and has really crappy P.ATK and P.DEF, so I tried levelling him up a bit but sheesh, it`s kinda hard at level 40, if not just because as a Bishop I don`t have a whole lot of things to pull hate with. After a few deaths and generally geting the feel for a pet, I went on to do the hatchling quest.

So on to the hatchling quest, which proceeded to take up the rest of my day lol. Go here, go there, dodge yellow to red agro mobs to get to a fairy, collect frog skins (10), go here, get stuck, figure it out 30mins later, dodge more red to yellow aggro mobs to visit a dragon, get sent back to the frog skin place to recover the dragon`s eggs, take them back to the dragon and she tells me I have too many. Take the extra egg back to the hard to get to fairy, who hatches the egg and hides it in the fairy world, giving me a random flute to call it from.

Now, the hatchling you will get is random one of three, Star, Twilight, or Wind. Twlight eats a ton of food and is a really weak melee. But he grows up fast. Star is a mage, who eats the least food, and casts two magics: Bright Burst (a nuke) and Bright Heal (a self-cure). Wind, the one I got, is a little bit of both (yay). Winds use skills call Wild Stun which for you FFXI ppl is basically a Chaotic Strike, (it stuns) and Wild Defense, which increases the hatchling`s P.DEF and M.DEF.

I named my hatchling Tammin, not after the singer, but it means "Dragon".

Now, hatchlings are fuck-all-ugly when they grow up. Yeah, they grow up, into what`s called a Strider. The whole reason I wanted one is because you can ride the Strider. :3 So I can look all badass riding to a camp while everyone else walks. Or hell! I could even do my job as a WHM while riding the strider! You can`t atack while riding, but you can cast spells. :D

And if you`re really cool, your strider will grow up even more and become a Wyvern. As a wyvern, you can ride it through the air and while you yourself cannot atack or use abilities, you can use the wyvern`s breath attack. The thing is though, you have to be Lord of a Castle to ride a wyvern. To be lord of a castle, you need to 1) lead a clan, not just be a member and 2) successfully take a castle in a siege. I was hoping opeth_garuda took a screenshot, but in the siege we watched this past Saturday on the Castle of Oren, the lord came out on his wyvern to help defend the castle.

I don`t have a shot of how cute the hatchling is (maybe later) but I do have one of Drake Zwov, the dragon I collected eggs for.

Test of Trust

Brief introduction, I used to play FFXI on Garuda server but recently quit for Lineage II (Hindemith server). I like in Honolulu, Hawaii, and have for the past year and I hate it for a number of reasons. I`m originally from Tennessee, and I sorely miss my home`s mountains and weather. (I lived in eastern Tennessee, in the Appalachians.)

Lineage II...
Today I finished up the two quests I needed to finish to become Bishop. The second one, Test of Trust, was very long and annoying, but the third was decently fast, and now I`m just waiting on Justin to finish his quests while I wait in Hunter`s Village. Speaking of Hunter`s Village, it`s a really beautiful place with trees everyone and log huts and ramps. I`m really glad Haru showed the place to me. :D

Anyway, a little about me on L2, I play a human female Bishop named Kelalia, a member of slt clan, exalted alliance. My boyfriend plays a human Hawkeye named Ralith and we duo exp, sometimes trio with my really good friend, haruneru. I personally pronounce my character`s name "Keh-lah-lee-yah", though people have just started calling me Kela XD.
